校内英語暗唱弁論発表会が開催されました！

8月28日（水）７時間目に校内英語暗唱弁論発表会が開催されました。

今回は中学1年生2名、中学2年生3名、中学3年生1名の合計6名が参加してくれました。

約3か月間、早朝、昼休み、放課後、夏休みの暑い中も一生懸命に練習してきました。

中学生全員の前での発表では、かなり緊張していた様子でしたが、

素晴らしい発音やプレゼンテーションに、聞いている生徒たちもとても驚いたり、いい影響を

受けているようでした。司会進行はESS部員が英語と日本語でしてくれました。

発表者の中から、9月に行われる第40回関西女子中学生英語暗唱大会に1名、

10月に行われる第41回堺市中学生英語弁論大会に3名が出場します。

日頃の成果を発揮できるようさらに頑張ってほしいと思います。

On Wednesday, August 28^th, 2019 we had our annual Sakai Liberal Junior High School English Speech

Presentation. Six students gave a speech in English in front of the entire student body and teachers.

Each student began writing and choosing their speeches in early June. Once they had decided on a

speech they would come to school early and practice every day. With the help of Uno Yaeko and

Clinton Carlyle, the students worked very hard on memorization, pronunciation, intonation, gestures

and eye contact.

On the day of the Speech Presentation you could tell that many of them were nervous to speak in front

of an audience this huge, but they all did a fantastic job and showed a remarkable level of improvement

since they began working on their speeches. Speaking to an audience is never an easy job and doing it

in another language multiplies that difficulty by a thousand.

That aside, these girls have shown skill and determination to see it through to the end. Congratulations,

Ladies!
