校内スピーチコンテストが開催されました！
７月１７日（火）の６・７限に校内英語スピーチコンテストが開催されました。
今年は８名の生徒が中学校全員の前でスピーチをしました。
参加者は約３ヶ月の間、早朝や放課後に練習をして、素晴らしいスピーチを
完成させました。練習時は、発音や読み方、ジェスチャーなどを試行錯誤しました。
本番はかなりの緊張にもかかわらず、Amazingなスピーチをしてくれました。
見ていた生徒も、発表者たちに刺激を受けたことと思います。

On Tuesday,July １７, 2018 we had our second annual Sakai Liberal Junior High School Speech Contest.
Eight students gave their speeches in front of the entire student body and faculty.
The process for this speech contest began toward the end of April, when students began writing and
choosing their speeches. The students would come early and often times stay after school to practice
their speeces with our English faculty members:Yoshimi Terao,Yoshihisa Hirota, and Jerry Johnston.
The studens worked very hard on presentation, pronunciation, phrasing, intonation,facial expression
and eye contact, breath control, and vocal projection.
The students were quite nervous about speaking in front of all of their peers, but in the end all of the
students showed marked improvement from the time they began working on their speeches.
As teachers, we were very impressed with their efforts and dedication to finish what they began.
They showed a lot of spirit and grit, tirelessly practicing and refining their English skills.
In the end, Kanon Yamanouchi, Hijiri Goda, and Mami Fujisawa were chosen as the top three,
respectively. They went above and beyond our expectations to present some very high quality and
entertaining speeches. While all of the students involved displayed incredible improvement, these
in English. Well done, ladies！
